Thibouville Lamy

The Thibouville Lamy company was founded when Jérôme Thibouville married Marguerite Hyacinthe Lamy in 1861. From this union, an important company was created, producing both wind and string instruments of still good quality, although losing the artisanal feel that had its roots in the past. This flute is a good example; it is a solid, well-made instrument with a pleasant appearance. It is in excellent condition, with only a hairline crack on the tuning joint that does not alter the sound. The instrument is tuned to 440, weighs 342 g, and has a sounding length of 540 mm.
