Gerock, London

Christophe Gerock of London was a well-known and respected woodwind instrument maker. He opened his workshop in London in 1805, collaborating with Astor and then Wolf from 1824 to 1827. Consequently, this flute, bearing only Gerock's name, can be dated before 1824. This flute is marked Gerock London on the headjoint, body, and foot. Two hairline slits. The bone ring at the foot is missing a  part. Overall length 600 mm, sounding length 535 mm, weight 250 g, pitch 432.
