A really beautiful stained boxwood flute with bone rings, marked "Goulding Covent Garden" on the head joint, only "Goulding" on each flute section, clearly a superior quality instrument. George Goulding (1759-1814) opened his shop in 1785 or 1787 and ceased the production in 1834. This flute can be dated in the first years of the XIX century. Nice small blowing hole.
