Historical Flutes

Goulding, London

A really beautiful stained boxwood flute with bone rings, marked "Goulding Covent Garden" on the head joint, only "Goulding" on each flute section, clearly a superior quality instrument. George Goulding (1759-1814) opened his shop in 1785 or 1787 and ceased the production in 1834. This flute can be dated in the first years of the XIX century. Nice small blowing hole. Small crack repaired in the past. Missing D diesis key. Overall lenght 605 mm, sounding lenght 535 mm, weight 237 g, pitch A 415.
