Isidor Lot (1832-1885) was the nephew of the more famous Louis Lot, with whom he collaborated. He produced excellent flutes, but sharing his uncle's surname put him in competition with him. The flute I present is a well-made, lightweight instrument (389 g), A is 430 (I have other Louis Lot rings flutes at 430 ), and dates back around 1870. The flute is in good condition but needs a general overhaul. As it remains the case that there is a lack of data on minor flute makers, a field that awaits the attention of scholars
