Beautiful german flute by Julius Hermann Altrichter (1842-1915). It shows an ebony body and metal head, a typical solution very appreciated in Germany from the beginiing of the XX century till nowadays . Marked on footjoint "Hof instrumenten fabrik, J.Altrichter, Frankfurt a. M". The firm was founded in 1868 and closed in !935. In the main joint we can read some letters, but most have been erased after a deep cleaning. Very well built, this flute presents many trimming screws, the most unusual are the two an Bb thumb levers. Extra key are G-G diesis for the right index and B- Bb for the right index. Closed G diesis. The flute, that can be dated 1900-1930, has the full voice of the german flutes. No crack and good mechanics. The flute is playing but would benefit a check. The case is Monnig's, in bad condition. A 435, weight 496 g.
