Philipp Hammig needs no introduction. He is part of a dynasty of expert flute makers that began with Johannes (1878–1934), then Paul, Johannes again, and finally Philipp (1888–1967) with his brother Richard August. Throughout the years the Hammigs worked together, they produced excellent instruments that were highly regarded. S. Gazzelloni played a Hammig. These are deep-sounding flutes with excellent action featuring various additional trills. This silver plated flute is in medium condition (hence the price), has a clear tone and is an instrument handcrafted one by one by craftsmen The flute weights 427 g, Pitch is 440, the flute is playing on old pads that should be renewed.
